Movies, Movies, Movies

We have gone to several movies this summer. The local theater has had a kids special on Wednesday mornings.  Iza has really enjoyed  the movies and having popcorn.

This evening we went to see Cars II.  I liked it much better than the first Cars movie.  Izabel liked it and that is all that matters. LOL

Over the Hedge
Over the Hedge was so funny.  I think a lot of the humor was aimed for adults though.  I love the food sequence.  It is after all about the food.  LOL :)

Racing Stripes
Super cute movie about a Zebra who lives on a farm after being abandoned and grows up believing he is a racehorse.  With the help of his barnyard friends and a teenage girl he sets out to achieve his dream of  racing.
Iza liked this movie.  Iza loves animals and this movie was a lot of fun with her.  She asked to go to the zoo to see the zebras as soon as we left the movie.  LOL.  That girl loves a zoo!

Mr. Popper's Penguins
Izabel really liked Mr. Popper's Penguins.  Jim Carey was at his best.  This is the best new movie we have seen this summer. Iza wanted to see this one again.

Winnie the Pooh 7/16/11

Tonight we went to see Winnie the Pooh.  It was a very short movie for the big bucks we had to pay to see it.  Iza liked it. The movie was a true G rated movie.  Disney needs to put out more movies like this for kids.

Kung Fu Panda

We went today to see the original Kung Fu Panda. It passed the Izabel test.  She loved it.  I liked it much better than the sequel.  This movie had much more of a storyline than the sequel and less fighting. Yeah for me.  I was not looking too forward to seeing this movie but enjoyed it and the best part was spending time with my sweetie (who, by the way, sat in my lap through the whole movie).

So glad to hear that Mr. Popper's Penguins was good! We read the book a few years ago (also very good!) I wish your movie theater had some specials - it's always sooooo expensive to go :-) which is why we usually rerd box it!

What fun memories! Been wanting to take the trio to the movies...they've never been. Wish we lived closer so we could have a playdate with our girlies! :)

Love and blessings,
Robin
